SEVEN RAINBOWS

On July 7, 1985, I arrived in Boulder, Colorado. I was sixteen years old. What happened to me in the next three weeks is difficult to describe in words. Besides Samuel's wonderful teachings of mime techniques, there was also an incredible growth process that occurred throughout my time there. My awareness of myself, others, my body and my spirit all blossomed. Creativity ran wild in our group, and consequently, confidence in my own creativity rose.

Samuel helped to guide me through this process with his unique teachings and focussed awareness. I hold this experience very dear to my heart. I learned so much during my time in Boulder. Most importantly, I learned to love more, to open my mind more, and to be aware of my body and its essential connection to my mind and spirit.

Samuel's guidance has continued to be a part of my life. I often refer to and practice many of the lessons in the Mime Workbook. I have also sought local teachers who emphasize the connection of the body and the mind/spirit. I have continued my work in openness of the mind and heart.

This workshop changed the directions of my life...now, I'm able to perform my singing with a deeper level of expression and I am aware of all my body parts during my performances. I continue to study Avital's methods and I feel it has affected every aspect of my life.

I saw seven rainbows during the three weeks I was in Boulder. These seven wonders of nature represent to me the beautiful gifts I was given from my experience at Le Centre du Silence Mime School.
