Healthy Past Connection


The purpose of this exercise is to gain a general sense of health, well-being, and balance in your life. Just like our negative memories can influence us in the present so can our positive memories.

You can repeat this to yourself as if another is talking to you or you can ask another to read this to you.

Begin:
Choose a time when you were your healthiest. A time when you would consider yourself to be in excellent shape, both physically and emotionally.

A time when you had energy, concentrated well, learned quickly and were strong emotionally and physically. It was a time when you had the capacity to make good decisions.

Go back and re-experience that time. Pick a time when you felt your best; try to remember a specific time or event. If you can't, then a general time will work.

Don't try to make specific changes, just let all the pieces tie together. Let it synthesize as it will.

Visualize this experience of health like a wave. Imagine a sand sculpture that you can turn over, and notice how the sand resettles in new patterns. Health will be rolling with the wave of the sand, resettling a new health pattern.

Now fully immerse yourself in that health experience. Be fully in it. See what you saw then, hear what you heard and feel what you felt then.

Allow those health feelings to increase. Now have those feelings double in intensity, spreading throughout your body your arms, hands, neck, head, shoulders, chest, abdomen, legs, feet, throughout your entire body you feel those health feelings.

Now as you are fully immersed in that experience of health move quickly forward through time bringing your experience of full health along with you all the way to the present. Good.

Now while holding onto that experience of full health see yourself going on into the future still with the experience of health.
