In 1977 during a visit to Dr. Lilly's Malibu home while walking from the driveway where he greeted us to the house I asked him, "now that you've used the tank thousands of times, what do you find that you mostly use the tank for these days?" His initial response was a terse, "to get rid of my guests." After a brief pause he continued, "...and relaxation, it is the most relaxing environment imaginable as a human being on earth. Would you like to float?"
